copper plate

Drawing and experimenting, re-learning how to do all the etching/print techniques.
Sometimes I think the plate is more lovely than the image you print from it......

Beach love

We went for a really nice walk, considering its still winter. As we got to the other end in the shade though, our toes froze in the cold sand.
Love this beach.....obviously it has much more meaning to us as A and I were married here almost 10 years ago now.
See the bunch of trees up the other end there, that spot is where we had the ceremony and where the photos above (with the cliff) were taken. The grassy track is where I walked down through with my dad to the ceremony near the rocks. Our celebrant had created a large ring of flowers for us to stand in.

Arrangements

Hello!

I thought I had already posted these, The lovely Averill gave me the flowers a little while back when she came over for dinner. The wings and moth I already had in my little collection.
I have been crazy busy lately working and also working on my exhibition work. We are heading to the south coast for the weekend. As much as I love Canberra, I have to regularly leave to re- balance. Maybe that has something to do with growing up on a farm and having a quiet place. That place for me at the moment is the ocean. EXHALE! have a great weekend x

Singapore Orchids

I am slightly obsessed with these orchids, they find themselves in my home most weeks. I like to draw them. I like their form.

These sunrise photographs were taken quite a while ago, but are always at the back of my mind for some reason. A special moment, spontaneity and movement of life. simple things.

Valentines Day

I love this quote, I found thismorning on a well traveled woman via another blog I look at from time to time old school master's house

"He’s not perfect. You aren’t either, and the two of you will never be perfect.
But if he can make you laugh at least once, causes you to think twice, and if he admits to being human and making mistakes, hold onto him and give him the most you can.
He isn’t going to quote poetry, he’s not thinking about you every moment, but he will give you a part of him that he knows you could break.
Don’t hurt him, don’t change him, and don’t expect for more than he can give.
Don’t analyze. Smile when he makes you happy, yell when he makes you mad, and miss him when he’s not there.
Love hard when there is love to be had.
Because perfect guys don’t exist, but there’s always one guy that is perfect for you."

- Bob Marley

The family....

That quote sums up where I'm at in my life and reminds me not to expect too much- in a good way.

Happy Valentines Day!

To the South Coast

It is so hot and dry here at the moment, these photos were taken after a stormy day, a break between continuous days of the relentless heat we have been having here. I love driving down to the coast at dusk, as night falls this sky and landscape is stunning! The family were all asleep and I got to enjoy this part of the drive in absolute peace. After each breath I could feel my body relax a little more.

New year 2014

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We spent the evening with very very good friends, great food and amazing cocktails.
I think I laughed more in one night than all year.
I forgot my camera, so please take the above image offering...
